The Okinawa Cupcake Stand

Today our homeschooling co-op hosted a Cupcake Stand on Camp Foster to benefit www.sixtyfeet.org.  Moms and kids from the co-op, as well as several Harbor volunteers, baked thousands of cupcakes and we sold them in front of the base shopping center.  It was a huge success!

The Lord provided cupcakes, kids, moms, energy, enthusiasm, and buyers and we had a great day!  Every single penny will go towards alleviating the suffering of imprisoned children in Uganda.  If you wanted to be there but couldn't make it (darn Pacific Ocean!) you can buy a virtual cupcake at http://www.TheCupcakeKids.org/cck/mysale.php?refid=1333547328.

We moms and kids are praising God for using us in Okinawa to do something in His kingdom in Uganda.  To Him be the glory.  He is risen indeed!

If you're wondering--the Lord raised $3,558.55 for precious, captive little ones today.  I tell you--the military is a generous community.  They already give their lives away and yet today they dug deeper and gave more!

Here are a few shots from the very beginning of our day.  As things progressed it was super crowded and busy!  Mark, Rebekah, and I aren't in any of the pics, but we were there too!

  1. WoW! I am impressed! Raising that amount of money with a simple little cupcake sale is a miracle. But then, we serve a God of miracles, don't we. I'm so happy to hear the good report!
